There is an article in the latest is of Christophorus on the 968. Very complementary (it's a Porsche magazine). It mentions that Porsche Classics has 9000 spare parts for the 968. Now we know where to go for those hard to find parts.
Where do you find Porsche Classics? Do you have a website?

thanks:rob
Can someone scan the article and post it? I haven't seen a Christophorus in years.
I will have to drop by the local Porsche dealer and "help myself" to a copy!

Porsche Classics is an arm of the factory that restores Porsches for customers. If I remember correctly it is located at the museum. I have a subscription to the magazine. I would think you could get it at a dealer to subscribe. I don't think they have a web site. They restored the 911T that was raffled at the Parade in August. It was better than new, a spectular car.
Porsche - finicky about copyright infringement Say it aint so!
I tried the Vancouver Porsche dealer today, but NO "extra" copies of Chistophorus available! Must be a "sign of the times"! Everyone is cutting back...

I will be in Victoria tomorrow, so I will try the P-dealer there!

When you say "latest", which issue do you mean? I got a hold of the December 2011/Jan 2012 issue at the P-dealer in Victoria and there is nothing in there. Thecopies of the previous issue they had just thrown out two days before! I looked on-line, but there was nothing on-line that deals witht he 968...
Mine is Dec 2011/Jan 2012. It has a 991 cab on the cover and says "we're so free". The article is on page 92 and 93.
WOW! Do I ever feel like a fool

I had glanced through the index of the issue (nothing!) and I flipped through the issue quickly at the P-dealer (nothing - I thought!). Good thing I took a copy along. As soon as I read the last post that it was indeed in the last issue, I walked downstairs and collected the issue from the back seat in my car (daily driver) and VOILA!

Very nice 2 page spread with some great pictures.

I like how the article ends off with:

"The 968 has long made the transformation from used car to sought-after collector's item as the ever-rising prices for well-maintained 968s demonstrate.

.... It's well on it's way to becoming a classic"

That may be "Porsche hype" (since Christophorus is a Porsche publication), but still feels good to read...

DaveN - you may want to call the dealer in Victoria for them to set aside a copy for you. My intention was to pick up an extra copy for you, but because I did not see the article, I only took the one copy...
Glad you found it. I was worried I had the only copy with the 968 story. It is indeed heartening to hear good things about the 968 even if it is Porsche hype. The picture looks like the 968 at the museum.
That's awfully kind of you Jake. We are in the middle of organizing the 3 day run to Ucluelet again and Speedway has been a sponsor. We have to call them as they are under new ownership to secure a support commitment for this year so I'll ask about the mag as well.
