If the link above does not work use
www.carsales.com.au and then look under Porsche and 968.
This is a car in the Western Australian Porsche Club. It is quick.
The price will most likely make people choke - but is cheaper than the expected price for the genuine article in the USA.
Craig - do you think it is any quicker than yours?
Eric,
Without the current round of mods - yes. It could still be quicker again - notice no strut brace, etc. But, yes in a straight line and on the track it is quicker - would depend on the track, but it is making more power and when we did the runs down the airport straight - it was around 10km/h quicker at the end of the straight.
As above - once the larger crank pulley is installed - it will be a close thing.
Another one of the four Turbo RS replica's made by Peter Fitzgerald is for sale. This one has an even more eye watering price (for a replica).

As per the previous post - if the link does not work (which it looks like it didn't paste correctly) - go to
www.carsales.com.au and search under Porsche and 968. It is the most expensive one.
Note the reference to the price of the genuine article sale price.
Man, these recent sales really make me look forward to completing my replica project.
I know they're useful, but I never like shortened URLs, because I don't know where they go, and there are too many malicious web sites out there. Such a sad commentary on our times, eh?
Very cool car. Ad says it has "traction control". Is that the "down under" way of saying ABS, or does it really have that mod? Curious....
Traction control down here is like the Top Gear test of the HSV/Vaxhaul GTS - it works off your right foot. I think that have got the add wrong - only traction control device would be ABS - not traction control, unless they have somehow managed to do this through an aftermarket ECU, but that would be mega $$. The expensive one for sale used to belong to Frank Purdey who was a member of the Porsche Club of QLD. He can effectively have anything he wants (currently a 911 GT3 RS) and he has always said that the 968 Turbo RS replica was one of his favorites and he is sorry he ever sold it. This is however through the rose coloured glasses of not having it for the last 9 years or so.
