Wanted to say hello as I am new to the site. Just purchased 1994 Slate gray matelic 968 with 63k miles. My father had a new off the showroom 1990 944 Cab and I recall stealing a few drives here and there as a teenager. Some really good memories. Hitting 40 and eyes peeled for the right 944/968, I found mine and the smile hasn't left my face since. Glad I found your site and look forward to connecting with the 968 community. Cheers

Welcome KP,

I'm sure a few of our members have seen that car up close and personal (nothing much 968 escapes us). Best of luck on recapturing your youth, the 968 is a perfect platform

Enjoy the site,

Jay
i know that car - i looked at it - it has quite a few problems, not the least of which is a ripped firewall that presents a significant safety concern. you may be able to force the dealership to repair it.

i'm emailing you. please contact me asap
Welcome congrats. Listen to Flash.
Welcome! Love the color.
Love the colour, hate the possible news from Flash. Since it's a recent purchase get right on the customer satisfaction, safety issues, if the exist. Dealers forget you just about the time the cheque clears
Thanks everyone, After my ametuer inspection I figured it would need some work, let's just hope I don't need to take a second mortgage out to get it done Why does a cracked/ripped firewall seem expensive? Any idea what that moslty will run?
ring me up - you have my number

no, i'm not a shop and don't want the work
Always good to have another L.A. area 968! Good luck - hope the firewall thing isn't too serious. I stressed about mine too until Flash and I tested it out and proved there was no damage.
yeah - his moves well over an inch. it's the worst i've seen yet. i'm sure it's fixable, but it's going to be some work.
The firewall brace won't "fix" it?
