driving the MBZ today for some stupid reason <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/glare.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ( weekends are almost exclusively 968 days.. ) I spotted a black coupe parked near an apartment building and left a forums calling card on it, and no more than two blocks away, same street, there was a red coupe at a gas station. pulled in and talked to the owner briefly ( seems he was in a bit of a rush..) and he said the car is his daily driver, has about 230,000 miles on it and that he also has a 993 twin turbo , so clearly an all-Porsche dude <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/EmoticonCar.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

That's cool.

I'm always excited to see another 968 on the road. What is a "forum calling card"?

At the one of our recent Paso Robles events, Flash provided us with some business card-like invitations with the Forums info on them, for those occasions when you spot a 968 parked somewhere and want to let the owner know about the forum, and/or your screen name, etc.. so he or she knows there's another local 968 around..

I neve received anything when I donated but that was my choice to let Flash keep the goodies to lower the club expenses. But, it if hasn't already shipped, you could throw some cards in with the 2 splitters and the firewall brace that Langley and I have ordered so we can extol the virtues of the forum.

I am putting the S2 on the road Wednesday due to the lack of splitter and intake/mani cover not back from paint yet. Hopefully it will all get buttoned up by the end of April so my son can park the 528i he just bought and take the S2 for the summer; he's in drool mode too waiting to get back into the P-car.

Hey, wait a darn tootin' minute..make a donation and get some cards to essentially advertise the forum ?! It should work the other way around, the forum should furnish lots of free cards so we can pass them along to the prospects who may join. Now, everyone should make a donation to help sustain this forum and assist with the expenses of keeping it running regardless of hats, or sun shades or whatever other freebies that come with that, but come on...cards are a dime a hundred ! Send free cards out, make it rain !! LOL, ( for those not familiar with the " make it rain " remark, ..well, it's not suitable for the 13 year olds who may read these posts )

lol - cards are a LOT more than that (as i remember, about 10 cents each), but we have been known to send them out to a few "special" people

Incidentally, I really need to switch the forums activity to my desktop ( not an Apple product ), this friggin' iPad has a fraction of the options of my PC, and furthermore if I press really hard on the screen , or barely touch the screen for that matter, some unrelated subject always replaces what was there before which I was working on.. Speaking of...hey, how did this porn site suddenly appear here ?!

Sure I can get a keyboard for it, but then what's the point ? And it will still have limited options . Did I mention I hate Apple ?

I luv mi iPad becoz it has rely good spellign checkign.
