Williamoss... According to the guy I talked to recently at the Porsche dealership, their Exclusive paint program now starts at $8000 for non-metallic colors and can range anywhere up to $16k for some of their multi-stage metallic/pearls...or more for the special Liquid Metallic Silver from the 918...
I personally really like the copper.
If you want to see a really interesting color...find someone with a Honda S2000 in Rio Yellow Pearl to look at. Looks like a non-metallic (you can't see ANY of the metallic flake) in the shade, but sparkles really nicely in the sun.

Rio Yellow Pearl. I'd like the job of making up the names of these colors!
looks like cabbage moth guts yellow to me
That 968 looks pretty much amazing. I'd go as far and say it's the best color I've seen one in yet.
I think speed yellow ( not to be confused with summer yellow, which was the other of the two 968 factory yellow colors ) looks great on a 968 ! All else being equal, prepare to spend at least 50% more for any speed yellow 968s vs any other color, when and if they pop up for sale.
not a fan of yellow cars. also, given that yellow is the color best seen by the human eye, my driver's license would likely not survive a yellow car
that being said, i always toyed with the idea of a yellow mgb, with black trim, and a license plate that read "KILLER B"
Not usually a fan of yellow cars either; did not like that color on any of the Ferraris or Corvettes or Lamborghinis I saw live, ( but I dislike Lamborghinis in any color so that does not count, lol ) nor photos I've seen of other cars in yellow, but for some reason I really like how tne 968 looks in speed yellow, although I've only seen it in photos so maybe I'd form a different opinion up close and in person if I saw one..
Till then, pretty tough to argue with this..

Roflmao - as a printer I can confirm that is EXACTLY the colour. I believe they use the same substance for the musterd at McDo's. Mmmm.

way back when i was first looking for my first 968 i almost bought a 92 cab in this very odd color. it does not show up on the database that jeff has. it was definitely original paint, as i carefully inspected that, looking closely for damage or accident history.
the car is a 6 speed, with black top and black interior, no LSD, CD changer, and i think a factory phone.
i think i might like to locate this car now.
here is what i am almost certain is the color:

Was looking at Vinyl wraps for my white car. Was wondering what you all think of them? You could basically do this copper color car discussed in the thread - or a million other variants/designs. It certainly gets the ideas flowing...
it's not that i want that color. i don't. in fact, that is the primary reason that i didn't buy it when i had the chance. it's only because it is such a rare car that i would want it.

Dan,
The color in your picture is not very true to Speed Yellow, which is much brighter in person. Not saying you wouldn't like it, but it is remarkably different if that is your vision of the color.
Attaching the Strosek car and Pete's Turbo S.

interesting, i never saw one in person so always thought it was a very deep and much darker shade of yellow than what these latest photos reflect. the summer yellow is very washed-out IMO, but if the photos are of speed yellow 968s they look like egg yolk so maybe i would not be that crazy about it live and in person.
i can't stand speed yellow.
come to think of it, i can't stand gumby green or barbie blue either. not real fond of red either, which is particularly odd, since i drove a guards red car for 25 years and loved it. must be a solid thing on this car.
Barbie Blue ? :-) what the heck is Barbie blue ?
Oh great, I googled Barbie blue and I got this : " - did you mean Barbie blew... ? " You don't want to know what sites that search leads to .. :-) !
Is your Google the porn google?
Reminds me of one of my favorite jokes : a priest checks into a hotel and asks tne desk clerk if the room has cable tv. . She responds : of course. The priest then says : well, I sure hope the porn channel is disabled ! She pauses for a second and replies : no, it's just regular porn...you sick bastard !
