It really does - that's hilarious!

You know it's illegal to post that anywhere without written permission?

It would be, if I had copied the image by itself and posted it, but what I actually I put up here is a photo of a person's ( Daniella Briggs ) post on Twitter, which just happens to incidentally contain that image Her name and/or post on Twitter is not protected by TM or R , so nothing improper on my part..

Why is the post on twitter not covered. Sounds like you be citing deem hairs mighty close. But then again I dropped out of law school what do I know!

Loopholes :-) Besides, I'd be more concerned having the Porsche crest image here anywhere, Porsche is known for aggressively protecting their registered symbols, the IOC on the other hand has so many problems, they have neither the interest nor the time, ( even if they had any grounds to base it on) to go after millions of tweeters...or Facebook users, or any other public Internet or media domain that has their logo plastered everywhere.
That said, one of our major customers did receive a cease and desist letter from the NFL about two years ago for having a world-wide promotional superbowl theme event, so there are those who will attempt to go after infringement of their trademark..

lol - re: IOC and problems - not to mention the licensing fees to the simpsons

Hey, look at this way - I can always bribe their officials to leave me alone ( IOC and FIFA have had so many corruption / bribery charges scandals lately, their heads must be spinning.. )

Its graffiti style lettering.

DS the edge man. Always out there always skating away on the thin ice of a new day.
07-29-2012, 08:39 PM
They're all calculated risks my friend, if and when I skate on thin ice I tend to make sure the water underneath the ice is no more than ankle deep :-)

Sensible. Almost actuarial. Lol
07-29-2012, 10:19 PM
IOC was too busy making sure the video of the Queen didn't get passed around...copyright infringement...
Beside we have Flash here to make sure that nothing gets published that could even marginally lead to litigation.
Quite a few missteps in the Games so far,
Jay

It just says 2012. Understand there was a local contest. Was there in May and had to ask sales person in mall overlooking the site what it said.

Is anyone here watching the games ?! No posts with any comments on this Olympics yet, and they're just about over. Guess nothing extraordinary to talk about ..
08-12-2012, 12:33 AM
Meh.

Yeah, I know what you mean.. I watched perhaps a total of 30 minutes. I did follow some of the results in the headlines, but that's about all.
That said, I was glad to see Mexico take the soccer gold by beating Brazil. Never cared for Brazil, though admittedly it gve this world two great gifts : Ayrton Senna and Brazilian wax.
Of course I' m talking about Carnauba car wax for our 968s...ahem.

Me too. About 30 minutes. Don't forget the thong, I think that's Brazilian. Although it's misused horrifically in America. You have to go to Rio to see it in its native habitat.
