Hi

I am an Englishman who has lived in France for nearly 20 years. Always have been very fond of classic cars and have had the usual British examples - MGB and Triumph TR4A IRS. Have now decided on a change and am in the process of buying a 1993 968 coupe with 108,00 miles on the clock. The car has been owned by a Porsche specialist and I am told that it has been kept in top condition. It is in cobalt blue with a blue leather interior. It has had the mod to rectify the gearbox weakness and has just had the timing belts/chain replaced.

I look forward to reading the various sections of the forum and to drawing on the experience of the members.

Bob
Welcome! Enjoy your ride.
Welcome and congrats!
The pinion bearing was really a rare occurrence anyway so no worries there. You'll love the ride after a few tweaks; you'll find those in the 12000 pages of this forum and we'll be glad to help. Order what you can from D1R before there stock runs out as Bob makes the best addons for the 968, sadly for another week or so. Upper and lower braces are a must along with the airbox mod and chip.

Oh, and you can't call yourself Bob, there is only one (You'll get it after some reading)

Maybe you can be "Bobby"!

You are English, and who knows, you may be a retired policeman to boot

Just kidding!
