What a nightmare I am in ! My headlight stopped going and would just fall down when I raised it by hand. After doing my research I felt it was the motor. However, a friend of mine said her son in law was a Master Mechanic on Porsche and he would look at it. I said ok, big mistake, he took apart the headlight relay  944 618 205 00 and checked every thing finally saying what I had said it is the headlight motor that is shot. Well all find drove car home and that was it next day dead battery. I had just purchased a new Die Hard so that seemed unlikely. My question is will a relay that has been tampered with possible it can be a drain on my battery even when car is off? I am thinking of just buying a new relay to try is that a good idea? Any thought, comments, response is appreciated. Thank you

I could be wrong, but I seriously doubt the parasitic draw from a faulty relay ( or one tampered with ) when everything is off can drain an essentially new battery in just one night .. unless somehow the relay caused the light to remain on while in a down position and there was no dashboard warning / lights on chime when you exited the car ?!    Does not sound plausible that would be the case, but there are strange electrical gremlins, so nothing is impossible I guess..
