Unfortunately, I miss the Fed ex guy today who was delivering my dynamat... I guess install will have to wait until next weekend... Here are a couple of pix of the seats, steering wheel, door panels and map pockets.
Wow, that's going to be unique!
Very nice! Who did the work? Probably a stupid question but why does the steering wheel have 2 bumps?
The seats, steering wheel, door panels, and map pockets where done by Fine Line Trim & upholstery here in Sacramento. The center console, door handles and lower dash were from Classic 9 (not shown). The two bumps is where you would normally rest your thumbs, ergonamics..
Is that assuming you drive with your hands at the 10 and 2 position? - What if you drive with your knees? - lol...

Looks good.
Nice!

Brian
what was the cost
Total interior for material and labor was aorund $4,500.00. ($769.00 from Classic 9 for the lower dash, glove compartment, door handles and center console. $3,700 from Fine line upholstery for the seats, door panels, map pockets and steering wheel. Also, Fine line gave me the extra leather material also). Oh yea... around $3,000 for the Bride Kevlar seats...
Finally installed!!!... Just love it!!
looks sharp!
Wow, totally
Looks great

Wow! Does look nice! Even if it "totally" takes Rap back to the 80's.
Ron, do you wear gloves with that wheel? Seems like it might pick up a grunge like look at spots from hand sweat. Tama at least it takes me somewhere! Lol
Did you drop the steering wheel and smashed that bottom segment, or are you a really tall guy and your knees bent it into that shape ? , LOL .. Sorry could not resist, I've seen that shape wheel used in various cars and wondered as to what the functional purpose of the deign may be ; more room for the knees ?
Ok Ron now we really need to have a local get together so you can show off all your new goodies...we have a couple of new 968's in the neighborhood and see if we can rattle some of the old members out of the woodwork where they seem to have disappeared to...

Have you ever been to a Eurosunday event? I haven't but a friend was trying to talk me into attending one of these months...

Sam
Yea Sam, we should and no I have not been at a Eurosunday event. I have the same flat bottom steering wheel on my Lotus and it makes getting in and out of the car that much easier, not to mention that it is the best feeling steering wheel I have ever owned when gripping it.
I really like the quilted inserts <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/clap.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Jay
I dunno, interior looks like it needs a little Carbon Fibre - eh Bob? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
