If you did that to an American car like the PT Cruiser, it would cave in instantly. It might even collapse into a singularity.

Yeah, I was watching the sledge bounce right off the side panels with little damage, he had to really try to get a good dent.

Many years ago, a friend bought a new van that was a lemon from the start. After numerous failed attempts to get the problems resolved, he was left with a lousy van and a lot of frustration. He painted the side of the car with proclamations about how it was a lemon and warning people to refrain from buying this company's vehicles. He drove around the country visiting many parks, monuments, and attractions. At each, he parked his van at the front gate, took a picture, and mailed it to the company president. After a few months of doing so, he received a brand new van!

So let me get this straight. He Paid BMW over $150K for the car, then beat up "his car" diminishing its value. THen he plans to repair the damage at Great $$ and repeat.
I guess he showed them.
