I am sure that most on here will just advise to call Sunset in Oregon.
That's probably how I'll have to go. Thought I'd try though.
try darryl
What's his forum name?...remember, I'm a newbie <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.png" class="smilie" alt="" /> I was over at DC auto also. Local speed shop wanted $1250.00 for a complete rebuild. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/whine.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> That was the cash discount <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/huh.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
Bought my p-brake parts from Pelican

LOL <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/blush.png" class="smilie" alt="" /> PM sent
Careful on 968 parts at dC-they have many of the 928 part numbers-almost none of the 477s. Pelican is ok. Also have a guy in Connecticut who has lots of 944 parts and have had very good luck with good quality 968 stuff (rear wiper motor/armrest)-944 inspirations on ebay-nice guy -Bob at 203-929-6707.
I've not had great luck with the quality of parts from dC at times, and the service is *rude*.
You got it-I worked there for 4 months....
Thanks for the heads up on DC auto. I have seen 944 inspirations on ebay.

Here is an example of the stealer prices http://www.autoatlanta.com/Porsche-95135...-srch.html
FYI-autoatlanta gets lots of its used parts from dC
True dat on the AutoAtlanta - bad luck there too, this year especially. Parts were OK (new), but the order turnaround and shipping time were painful. Sometimes Pelican can be painful, in the same way. But I've always gotten fantastic service and turnaround times from Sunset - even though they're on the wrong coast!

I just noticed a bunch of parts from 944reanimation on eBay, and the feedback looks very good, but another forum had a post saying that person was banned from there and should be avoided for non-eBay transactions?
I just recently bought the torque tube for my Tip Coupe rescue project from 944Reanimation. They seem to be good guys.....I have their direct contact info if anyone is interested. They routinely break up 944's and the occasional 968. Located in CT. It is a small "mom and pop" operation - I think it's a guy and his son - and the eBay flack is fallout from them only offering local pickup and trying to avoid eBay seller fees.
I didn't see much eBay flack at all, just to clarify. Their feedback there looked good.

This was flack on another forum that I was referring to, and only a single post at that.
As I said-I like'em. And yes-it's a father/son. Picking up a hatch and seats for my 44 in December from them-will let you know if anything other than good.
