My youngest daughter is our fifth child and she happens to use jersey #5 on her senior girls b-ball team (she is in grade 11). She recently scored three 3-pointers in a game! Papa was very proud!
How tall? Has her Mom's good looks!
5'11"
The looks comment was a "cheap shot"... But accurate!!! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.png" class="smilie" alt="" />
Listen the world, unbeknownst to you, doesn't revolve around you. It was a compliment to your wife and daughter! Geeeeez!
I know...
But she is a real "daddy's girl"! She asked yesterday if she can take the 968 to grad next year...
Ah... NO!
Well it's easy to see you're brimming with pride and rightly so. If Dad was going to be her date then I would say yes. No Dad no drive! I went to my granddaughters cross country meet today and the first question she asked me was if I had brought the Porsche. The look on her face when I said no all most made me want to kill myself. She was all ready to show all her friends gramps hot rod. Not that I needed reminding, but what a schmuck I am for not thinking of that. I didn't bring it because the road to the park has these monster speed bumps which I already tangled with once before. So here I am being smart and remembering something and I crush a young girls hope to impress her friends. So I took them out for pizza and all was forgotten and forgiven! Still a schmuck though! Lol
It seems sort of loosey goosed. We left before it was over. Boys and girls run separately. Much different from when I was a kid. Parents drive them to events. We took a school bus. It is her first year, she is ten and I do t know whether the competitive piece is truly understood. She is happy to run better each event. She and her friend enjoyed the pizza. Mother was a milf. I digress.
Let's not forget this is a thread about Jakes daughter.
Jake , simply awesome ! Great pix ; beautiful girl , clearly projects superior athletic prowess in those photos so you should definitely be proud ! But y'all sure grow tall, lol.
Hay Jake, your daughter sounds and looks from the pictures to be a really good basketball player. Any chance she'll land a sports scholarship anywhere? I know Stanford University is loosing a couple of it's big stars with graduation.
I'm still curious if #5 girl won the game :-)
They did win the game and she was selected as "Player of the Game".
Not to say that papa is not a proud papa or that is daughter is not good looking or there is a car connection to the story, but come on, this forum is about 968's s and not cute girls or basketball.

I'm not a moderator, but I play one on TV :-) , and to that end see post # 5 ( hmm, mere coincidence with the jersey # ?! ) which mentions tne 968, thus everything is aligned with the scope of the forum ...well, in the lifestyle section anyway , lol

I would never have started this topic unless the "LIFESTYLE / MY KID THE JOCK" section was not already part & parcel of the Forums topics.
I find that the LIFESTYLE section allows us to better understand what makes other 968 owners "tick". <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/beer.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
For those not interested in LIFESTYLE posts, I wonder if there is a possibility of "blocking" those out from your "New Posts" view... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/glare.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
WARNING! I will be adding another post to the WORLD CUP 2014 topic... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rock.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
I believe it's a forum for 968 owners and enthusiasts, not just about 968's. Otherwise, why would there be threads about kids, watches, shoes, and pets?
And, BTW, our daughter is in a Ph.D. program at Northwestern in Evanston, and she is hoping to receive the 92 Cab as a graduation present, which means I only have about three years left to figure out the gas smell and get about a million other things sorted out.
... and finding another one to fiddle and drive with?
The Lifestyle Section is ENTIRELY about things that don't have to do with 968s.Bob and I have hosted and attended so many events that we know that our common obsessions are much more than just a car. The "good" events are about people, vacations, clothes, watches, wine, kids, cigars...etc...oh, and by the way, 968s...
Your humble editor,
Jay
Jake your well within the realm of permissible conversation. After all, if our families are not part of our 968 discussions, then how empty would our lives be. I can't say I have seen any rule that says one must respond to a topic or thread one doesn't agree with or want to. If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing.

You'd think Donald Sterling would heed this advice ..since we're on the basketball topic anyway , lol
