Hi All,



One more small SC install – one more giant leap for Mankind [or at least 968 Mankind.]



I had mine installed recently. It’s a Stage 3 with an RS Barn catback. Pete was a genuine hero. He traveled to meet me and correct a bad install made by my [now ex-] super race prep mechanic.



Gotta watch that speedo. It feels like you’re just gently moseying along – until you glance at the speedo and it says ‘80’ instead of ‘50.’ SMOOTH!

I have a question re the auxiliary gauges combo that some of you have installed. It seems to be clock, boost gauge and oil temp. Do these install and work with minimal aggravation or are the boost and oil temp involved projects?

glad you got it in there.



you need to move that supercharger oil hose to underneath the supercharger, and zip tie it to the blow off hose, like the instructions said though.



also, it looks like the air cleaner is hitting the body on the left, which is making the air cleaner sit too high. loosen the clamps on the big elbow hose, and rotate the entire assembly counter-clockwise until you have clearance.



further, rotate the MAF backward so that it is not hitting the heat shield, which will also allow the air cleaner to sit down more.



just some fiddling to do. have fun.

At Watkins Glen last year my instructor mentioned my car had been talked about in the instructors meeting. seems the talk was that the driver of the red 968, me, didn't seem to know how fast his car was! I had to restrain a big grin from breaking out over my face due to the serious nature of the comment. Even lifting wasn't doing it. So restraining a grin I said I would lift more! This weekend at Shenandoah I was asked by an instructor if I had modified my engine. Mind you, I went over the mods prior to the first run. So the sc seems to have that ability to put a grin on your face sitting still!

Adding the gauges is pretty simple; the VDO Vision Series match whats in the car nicely. I'm running Boost, Vacuum, and Oil Temp.

Where are people taping in for boost readings?

i grabbed the vacuum at the FPR
