I have booth rear floorboards sopping wet. In searching the issue I found several threads but everyone I found was a sunroof coupe drain tube. Both of my drains in the trunk were clogged and I have successfully cleaned them out, but I am unsure if there are other cab drains somewhere that I am not aware of. there is a ton of water. I may need to remove both seats and all the carpet as my first clue was condensation everywhere, so there is more water than I can see and feel I'm afraid. Before stripping out the interior though I want to be sure there aren't some other drains under the cab top. The CDs I have show nothing on the top but how to remove and install it. I had a Boxster once with this same problem and there were drains under the top but they were easily accessible but nearly impossible to clean out. I ended up using co2 to blow them out. I hope I posted this in the correct section. If n it, please let me know.
i would look at the drain over the torque tube tunnel. it runs from the heater box, through the car, and into that tunnel
Thanks Flash, I didn't now about that one. I had a feeling there was at least one I didn't know about. I figured it would be under the top though. glad I didn't start taking it off. I'm not a regular here, but I go through periods where I lurk every day if just to read the latest posts. I've been missing for awhile though as I was working on my 80 911. Weissach. I recently sold it due to cancer of the drivers side door jamb. Before I knew it was there it had metastisiized. It was a sad thing, but it happens, even to the post 76 bodies. Working on that car is how I came to realize the 968 was leaking. I had to leave it outside for awhile as the garage had stuff laying everywhere. I kept it covered, but even the best of Porsche covers just aren't a good idea for any length of time.
. Beautiful Targa you bought BTW. The Porsche I owned that I miss the most was a 930 Targa. Not that it is even remotely similar to the 991, but it's the one car of my life that with all of its many flaws, is the most visceral car I ever had. It's for sale right now too, but I'm afraid the aircooled cars are in a bubble that is bound to burst at some point and while I couldn't buy a 991 Targa for his asking price, I could get a plane jane 991.Something is just wrong wiith that picture.
