i just went down and bought the new gasket that goes around the windshield where the doors and top seat - $600
what the heck? outrageous
cab owners - be careful not to snag yours - you won't like plopping down that money for sure
This thread reminds me of the LMG threads from a couple years ago. Every topic had a sexual connotation... "getting head" "It blows?"
Yeah- what ever happened to.... him?
Anyone see last night's "Carnivale"?
Gee, Flash. At first I was going to offer that the cost could be completely reasonable, depending on with whom you shared it. Afte reading further, never mind.
Getting back on topic - I was thinking that I might have to replace that seal as one of the steps towards eliminating my rain water leak. Now I'll look more carefully at sealant/caulk/glue/whatever before I take the big plunge.

Gentlemen, gentlemen...
Let's remember the F F F 's ( Forum's Founding Father ) directive relative to
"inappropriate" comments of a sexual, religious, defamatory or oterwise unsuitable nature on this new site. After all, isn't that why we still have the 968.net, for Christ's sake ?! ( Oops, religious reference ) Double entendre remarks always manage to penetrate these threads ( Oops, there I go again... ) so if this keeps going, you'll soon have a moderator intervene. Until then, however, good job ( uh, I said "job" , didn't I ?! ) with the replies to Bob's
" begging for a snide comment " thread title.
Back on topic - $ 600 ?! $ 200 is a rip off. $ 600 for that seal is highway robbery . IMHO.
That hunk of rubber is notoriously expensive. I really need to replace ours as there's a big gap between it and the top of the LH window but I'll wait until our local Porsche dismantler gets a cab in. $600 is nuts.
