FYI -

Direct from BB ( email below ) To my knowledge, no independent testing is available to validate these figures, but if the true numbers are say, 2/3 or even 1/2 of these, I'm happy... since I bought the system mostly for that great sound and not necessarily for the marginal increase in performance.

More importantly, see reference to torque results on the 944S. One would think the same would translate to the 968, perhaps even better ?

Dan we have a dyno chart that was done many years ago-before we owned our own dyno. The test was done on a 1995 968 using a Clayton dyno running the car at full-throttle in third gear, It shows HP increases of 2 @3500, 4@ 4000, 5@ 4500, 11@ 5000, 12@5500 and 10@6000.



There are no torque numbers on this particular chart. For what it’s worth we also have a 944S chart that shows positive torque gains throughout the entire RPM range. Send me a fax number and I’ll provide you with all that we have. Thanks Mike Ryan, Billy Boat Performance Exhaust.
i'm very skeptical to say the least - we've been through this before - i'm very interested to see this chart and whether or not they actually tested the same car before and after, and matched conditions, or are merely comparing to somebody else's chart
yeah, me too - waiting to see what exactly was compared, although I presume this was a single dyno test, on one car which had a BB catback installed, and then simply compared with the stock ( factory published ) numbers.
that happens way too often - those kinds of numbers are useless - it's very frustrating to see that kind of thing



you can't compare what happens on one car on one dyno on one day to what happens on another elsewhere on a different day
