Got the car back from the bodyshop and lo and behold discovered that neither the digital external temp gauge or the pass side power mirror are working. Both were fine before. Checked fuses with no luck. Temp readout flashes briefly on startup and then disappears. Mirror just sits there.
I can go back tot he shop but... they might just mess it up further and anyway the repairs were not located on the door and I am assuming they did not disconnect the battery since the radio was still set.
Ideas?
likely did not reconnect the wires that go to the mirror (which include the temp sender)- pretty easy to do, but you have to remove the door panel
Thanks - I called the sho and they 'fessed up and will re-attach tomorrow (just around the corner).
Rpm,
had a similar experience with the wifee's car, a suicidal deer jumped into the car, it hit the passenger side door, my wife almost s*** herself.<img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> Door dented and would not open, took it to the Acura dealer for repairs, TOLD them about the non factory speakers with the x-over in the door. The did a fine job of repairing the door but....here it comes..... forgot to hook up the x-over so the speaker in the passenger door doesn't work, called and after chewing on them awhile they agreed to pick up the car on their time and repair the damage they did. All said and done it works perfect now and the door looks great. BTW this was on the wifees' Acura MDX not the 968. Thats why we do most of the work on our cars ourselves!
Glad you got yours fixed as well.
