I keep hearing the "993" part for the DME relay referred to as 'new.'
My 968 came into my possession in 2000, and has never had the DME relay swapped while I've owned her (unless BHP decided to do so out of the goodness of their heart, without charge for labor or the part -- unlikely, IME <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />). However, I noticed today that the relay bears part no. 993 615 227 00.
Did it fail in the first 6 years of life, and was swapped in? The 993 didn't even exist when my '94 rolled off the line, did it?
