How do I remove the cam pulley off the exhaust cam? I have 3 M5 bolts locking in the gear to the rear plate. The center bolt is removed, but the gear does not what to be removed. I can't use a puller because the rear casing interferes, and the holes are occupied to preserve the timing. Thanks.
I used a gear puller. If you position it just right you can get the puller on inspite of the rear cover.

Eric
Thanks, I just got back with a third (and much smaller) puller from the autostore, let's see if it works.
Rustech,

I have found that if you tap "lightly" on the cam gear itself closest to the cam it will kind of brake the seal and you can wiggle it off I have never had to use a puller on any of the cars I have done this too maybe i'm just lucky, If your not comfortable with this, don't do it, use a puller as eric suggested,
Would you be able to get a brass drift in there and tap it with a hammer or rubber mallet?
Ok, so the little puller was too #$^@& small. After reminiscing of my youth of transplanting my cousins Barbie head onto my GIJoe (I state I did this for her amusement, not mine ), I figured I could start swapping parts between the three, and vualla, a two armed puller that worked. Thanks for all the recommendations.

Hey, the folks at Pixar ( Toy Story ) might owe you some money ... now we know where they got their ideas for Syd's character
