I assume you are joking.
But if I was going to build a drifting car I would start with something with much less expensive replacement parts, less traction and less balance.
If your 968 has LSD forget about it or pull the LSD unit and sell it to buy a lot of used tires.

that concept just plain scares me in this car - the suspension design is failure prone enough - i can't think all those rubber bushings and aluminum parts are going to like that much
it's fun stuff though in the right car - we used to do this all the time when we were kids - big open parking lot, late at night - big block hot rod at the touch of a throttle - woohoo

I understand it is something of a sport among Ricers, with

i find it funny that what was basically the beer drinking, late night carousing, get hassled by the cops, sport of the average american car driving boy, has become the sport of the ricer

Well that's cool! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> It looks like people don't necessarily drift in a 968 (not a good car to do it with eh?). But what makes a 968 not compatible for drift?? I mean, it's a RWD car that has enough power to kick butt, and ricers spend a crapload on their cars, topping like 200gs or so... it'll be nice to know.

Considering there were only 12,000 cars made world wide it really hasn't come up on the drifters radar screen. The people who do compete the car use it for what it is really good at - road course racing.

My English is not so good but I believe you can understand it.
I'm the guy that own this side and I'm also the guy that use his 968 CS for driving Drift Challenge here in Germany. The picture and the photos behind the link above is from 2003, below a current one from 2005.
The Drift Challenge is not a joke but a competition of guys that control his car at the border of possible.
Only for your understanding, the speed that we have in front of the corner is between 90 and 120 km/h and also after the corner.

Your web site is sehr gut gemacht! Although I'd suggest using a more universal video compression such as mpg, [rather than .wvm].
