The next in my string of problems lately:

I think my wife busted my cab top. I had the cover on it. I have the mod so that I can move the top while the car is running. I think she hit the top switch when she was attempting to adjust the side view mirrors....

Anyway, I took the cover off last week, and it was really tight for some reason. Tried to put the top up, and nothing. It doesn't make any sound or anything, it just doesn't move. It looks like the top is slightly higher than it normally sits when open, so I'm almost sure it was raised with the cover on it.

Anyway, am I completely hosed, or do you think if I switch it over to 'manual' use and disconnect the motor it will work?

Thanks <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

I'm guessing - note the word, GUESSING - that if you go "manual", you'll be able to raise and lower the top. If not, you'll learn a lot more about what the problem is. To go manual, you don't have to disconnect the motors in any formal way. Just loosen the large nuts that are behind the plugs in the rear side panels (back them off at least two full rotations) and you're in "manual" mode. Good luck.
Ok, I was able to go manual. Loosened the bolts and all is well.

Also, when I try to use the power top option, I hear a slight click coming from the passenger side assembly behind the side panel where the motor seems to be. Sounds like some servo is clicking into place but nothing is happening.

That has to be a good feeling. Now you have to decide if you're going to try to find - and fix - the problem. At the least, it is likely that you'll have to resynchronize the motors. The top repair manual has instructions about that. I think the manual is posted on this site - otherwise, I can email it to you. Alternatively, you can simply stay "manual" as many of us have chosen to do. There are advantages and disadvantages to both approaches. You have to decide what works best for you.
I, as well as ANCHORMAN have decided to go manual. Since I had to get out of the car to put the window cushion in place anyway,( keeps the plastic window from scratching when folded over) there was no benefit to repairing and resyncing the cab top mechanism.

It takes about 10 seconds to put the top up and down without the motors.

Check the fuse! My wife did the same thing on mine. I was sure the problem was major. Checked the fuse (blown), replaced it, voila!
Doh, thanks! Do you know which fuse it is offhand, or can that info be found in the owners manual I assume? (out of state right now so I can't go out and check <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Thanks!
