We have been offered a set of Nology leads to try on our supercharged 968. Now I'm not going to turn them down, I'm definitely going to try them but I am a little skeptical about the importer's enthusiasm for the products performance (that's the problem with being an engineer first, tuner second).



Once I have them I'll be sure to back-to-back test them on the dyno and track, so feedback from me will be forthcoming soon but I would like to know other's experiences before they arrive. Does anyone have an opinion on these, preferably with dyno results to back up any perceived improvements?

I can't comment on any performance improvement with Nology plug wires, and I hate to bad mouth a product, but the ones had in my car were crap. About a year after I had the car, which would have made the Nology plug wires about a year and a half old, the car developed a serious hesitation under load, such as full throttle acceleration, particularly in hot weather. After months of checking everything from fault codes to throttle sensor to coil to injectors to fuel flow rate to water in the fuel (a total of 19 items tested), it turned out to be the Nology's. I should have gotten a clue when one of them broke apart in my hand as I was pulling it out to test check the condition of the spark plugs as one of the first steps in my troubleshooting. There were visible sparks flashing along the plug wires, which I could see by watching the engine run in the dark. A new set of stock wires from Paragon completely cured the hesitation.



Now, it's possible that I just got a bad batch, as the previous owner had the car dyno'd with the Nololgy's, and the car produced very good numbers. However, from my experience, I can definitely say I wouldn't go with them. Best of luck.

funny - nope - not this time - i'm not big on new fangled wonder stuff anyway - done and seen enough tests over the years showing no gains from things like wires - plugs, sure - wires, nope - any good 8mm suppression wire is good for me



but cloud's is not the first time i had heard of problems with nology - not sure what that's about
