Good news from my mechanic <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
My low oil pressure reading was being caused by a bad sender. He hooked up a mechanical gauge and readings were fine. Replaced the sender and readings are good again. Wanted to post this in case anybody else is seeing low readings. I was seeing just barely over 4 bar when cold and 1-1.5 bar when hot at idle. After a hard session on the track the warning light would come on at idle. I was prepared to put in new rod bearings and was going to beef-up the oil pickup tube and add a crank sraper but my mechanic says bearings should be fine.
