When my Cab top is closed and I am going above 50 or 60 mph, I hear a wind noise on the driver's side just above the visor. It changes pitch when I move the visor down. I think that there is air getting in between the seals. It doesn't leak any water, though. I think that maybe the seals don't fit well anymore. They are expense to change. The seal on the top is about $390 and the windshield frame gasket is > 500. I don't know which to replace, or if there is a simpler and less costly solution. The rubber looks fine; although, it has fixed grooves where the top makes contact. Any ideas?

first, take a good look at the sheet metal where the latches are mounted - it frequently becomes bent, over time, making the latch not seal properly

then, take a look at the gap between the top and windshield when it is resting, just before you latch it - there should be 1" between them - if not, then the top needs to be adjusted at the mechanisms

if you take the top header off, and access the latches, there is a very small amount of adjustment there that might help too
Thanks Bob. I had previously adjusted to top so that it stops at the right point when closing. I'll have to look at the latches. Are you talking about the sheet metal on the top itself, under the header trim piece?

J
yes - as you look down the edge, you will probably see a deformation in the sheet metal where it has been pulled back - this makes the latches not hit where they should
