I narrowed down my oil leak to the Oil Pan Gasket needing replacing...Does anyone know what the Torque Specifications. I have been warned to make sure all bolts are tighten exact amount.

And of cource if anyone has direction or advice...It will definetly be appreiated.

Thanks...
Lube the threads to insure accurate reading. A dry thread will result in under tightening.

Oilpan to crankcase is an M6 thread bolt that is torqued in 3 steps.

1) hand-tight

2) torque to 3 ftlb (4 Nm)

3) torque to 7 ftlb (10 Nm)
Having done these oil pan gaskets many times, I strongly recommend that you recheck these bolts after 1000 miles. You will always find that bolts have loosened up. At least I always do.

Great advice. Wish I had heard this before mine failed the 2nd time. Pretty good advice on all bolts especially lug nuts!!

Agree, i might add, resist the tendency to over tighten these, the rubber where the spacer runs through is fragile, ask me how I know. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/sad.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
In addition to torque spec there is also a tightening pattern...sorry can't help with exactly what that patern is, but I'm pretty sure someone here could tell you and hopefully, share it with all of us.
