I've been on the web off and on for awhile now looking for 15W50...I used to buy 5 qt jugs for about 25.00 at Wal Mart. 2 local Wally Worlds now don't carry it and single quarts are hard to find at any place other than auto parts stores for close to 8 bucks a quart! I did find a boating forum where they recommended checking with Exxon/Mobile distributors, so I may go that route, but the same forum went on to mention that Mobile was no longer making the 15W50 in the 5 qt jug. Anyone know if this is true? Anyone know of any online places to purchase cheaper?

i'd contact them directly
Were those national chain autoparts stores? Napa, Autozone & Pep boys carry it by the quart or 6-pack. Yes it is pricey, I paid just over $42 for a 6-pack! Thank goodness beer isn't that expensive! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

If you find a source for less, let us know... [although I won't need it for another 9k miles].
Gotta love employees...(sometimes)! One of my staff brought me a 6 pack (of oil) this morning purchased from Wal Mart for $38.00. They had one left that he was going to pick up tonight. This was found out in the sticks of rural Virginia. I hope to contact a couple of distributors in my area on Monday to see if they will sell direct and can still get the 5 qt packaging. I'll post my findings. In the meantime, I'm good for two more changes now.
