So if I understand this correctly , there is a dedicated alarm horn, which is completely independent of / separate from the main ( steering wheel buttons activated ) horn , right ?

And I don't care about the flashing lights either , just did not want to mess up with the car's locking system if I removed a fuse,or messed with the alarm wires ..

I'm really keen to keep the car as original as possible, so I'd rather just fix it if at all possible. However I am nearing the end of my tether and drastic solutions may become more appealing.

Ds968. Yes it correct. A dedicated horn for the original alarmsystem. behind the battery under the space from the front screen.
