In my 968 the heater control Valve(HCV) is not closing when A/C is on. I can manually push the HCV lever and A/C is cold then. Checked the vacuum tube and no vaccum. Any one know where is the vaccum leak could be? is this a common issue? The vacuum tube connected from firewall to HCV is good(Tried sucking air and HCV works fine), no leak on it. Need some directions to pin point the issue. Thanks! Pors968
follow it up toward the fuel pressure regulator - could be up there - there is also a connection in the battery box that could be affecting it
Flash,
Checked the battery box and there was a vaccum hose disconnected as in the pic. I think it should ne connected in the black can. Which I did as in 2nd pic. Can you confirm the connection right? Thanks a lot.
After connection.

whiel i can't see the second pic, i would say yes, you found it
2nd pic is fixed! Can you confirm the connection?
Well still the HCV is not closing! Something else I need to look. Maybe the heater Solenoid under the dash!
thanks.
correct connection
bummer about not working - i'll poke around later today and see if i can find another spot
sounds like you have a vacuum issue though - do you have a vacuum gauge?
Flash,
I do not have the Vacuum gauge! If it's not expensive I can buy one. The vacuum hose I connected in battery compartment shown in the pic above has suction. I could feel in my finger. But no suction feeling in HCV hose.
Do you remember you did test drove my car when you were at Newtown in April? Again thanks for you help!
lol - was yours the one i stalled (twice)?
Yes! you stalled on my car! :-)
rofmao - too darned funny - seat was way too close the first time, and your clutch pedal was really soft - second time i cracked under pressure with somebody needling me through the window about stalling it - so of course i did it again - just hilarious
Hey Flash,
I wasn't needling you, just a simple reminder that the right pedal makes it go and the left makes it stop...but not the FAR left LMAO...I know, should have said middle.....
By the way, great job on your fun run and now the track event. Makes me long for California...
Cheers,
Jay
lol - no worries - more teasing than needling - i was cracking up at the time, and still am - just too much fun - and thanks
