Thanks to a fellow member of 968 Forums I now have a 968 Dynatech Strut Bar for the KMR 969 Turbo. I test fit the bar and found that I needed to enlongate a couple of the bolt holes about 2mm to fit over the strut tower on the drivers side and I had to sand down the arm that fits into the bar itself as it was way too tight to fit nicely. Other than that I am pleased with the purchase. The bar clears the vanity cover but I'm not sure if it's too close to avoid hitting when the engine is under power. Time will tell I guess. Just thought I would share some pictures and answer any questions.

Nice and solid looking brace there. Initially I thought it looked transparent in the 1st photo so shiny it is.

Also have you gone into any detail about your car on another post somewhere? I'd be interested in details of it.

How's the hood clearance?

I haven't checked the hood clearance yet. Dynatech supplies some putty and the instructions say to put it on the top of the bar before slowly lowering the hood. It was -15 C here when I test fit the parts so I wasn't too keen on working on it more than I had to. When it warms up I'll get it set up better and report back.



Just one thing to note: the holes for the nuts that retain the brackets on the shock towers are very small and a regular socket won't fit. I have to get a 13mm slim fit socket and see if that will work.
