That's a tight course...It would have been more fun to see him go sideways a little bit to at least look like he was trying...
That does not even look like it was fun.
This is so tight it is more like a Gymkhana than an autocross. They usually have a stop box too.

That was our old friend Bruce Ward at the Porsche Palooza in Eureka springs, Ark. last November. That course was so tight and slow that I lost my temper on the first corner (which required most of us to back up to negotiate the first time through) and after that just had fun knocking cones around. Definitely a "Gymkana" not an "Autocross" course. Not fun at all. good luck, Bob Blackwell.
i thought i recognized the car
I'm glad so many people have the same impression I have, that this looks like anything but fun. Yuck! I think it would have been more fun to be pushed around this mickey-mouse course riding in a shopping cart than driving it. I can't say I'm a fan of autocross anyway (maybe I should try it a few more times before knocking it), but this course looks particularly pathetic.

But at least the surrounding scenery was beautiful...
i'm with you - i never did like autocross - for me, it was ok as warm up, or hands and feet practice, but never got to the level of track driving - while challenging in its own right for accuracy and control, because most of them are so small, the speeds are too low for me, and the abscence of competition really leaves me fairly bored - short track courses, like infield courses, are much the same thing for me - right or wrong, i always looked at it as the thing you do until you are ready for the track

it is a lot safer than track driving though, much easier on the budget, and obviously is very satisfying to many, so who am i to disagree?

in the end, as long as you are getting out and pushing the car, it's better than just leaving it in the garage
