Does anyone with a 968 live in or near to Culver City / LA california?
I want to buy a set of 19 inch wheels from a dealer there and they suggested that I test fit a set on a car before they ship them to Florida.
I do realize this may be a bit out of way for some and it is X-mas so please let Santa know what you would like for being a good boy or girl

You would probably have better luck giving us all the specs on the wheels and the car they are going on such as offsets, ride height, camber, spring rates, tires, et al.
Simply fitting them won't show if they rub in turns or while braking <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/ohmy.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
Also, would they mount a tire to a new rim just for a possible sale?
You may better off with 18" rims.
almost certain that 19s will be a problem if the car is to be driven on the street - easy way to check is to compare outside diameters of the tires - anything more than 25.4 and you will be hitting things - less depending on the widths and offsets
also, the weight of the wheel and tire combination is of major importance - do not exceed 56lbs combined weight on any corner if you don't want to be replacing suspension components

I have spoken with the owner of the wheel shop and the wheels have already been put on a 928 (non gts) and a 1989 944 turbo. We just want to make sure the 968 is good.
The new wheels weigh 24-25lbs front and 26-27lbs rear, is that too much? How much more would the tires weigh.
With all this in mind PLEASE PLEASE could someone with a 968 please check in with wheel dynamics
Tires are 20lbs. each min, most are 25 to 26lbs. each.

What would putting these rims on our lowered cars running 1.6 degrees of negative camber and a stiffer spring rate tell us about your stock car?
You'rd missing the point my friend. If you give us all the specs, we could give you an idea how they would work on YOUR car. Ours are mostly all different out here.
The wheel weights are similar to that of the Sport Classic II's that I'm running and though on the heavy side, will work fine.
