Well on Friday the great car and stereo expert was trying to load a CD magazine in his white coupe - I just installed the Alpine flip-out deck and changer from the cab because the speakers are better and I also wanted to be able to plug the sat directly into an input rather than use the FM transmitter part - and decided to do this from the back seat rather than to lift the trunk hatch like most folks would do. I then put my knee on the trigger to the fire extinguisher sitting in the back in its little compartment on the seat. Just a weak moment. Well, I quickly disappeared in a white dusty blast. Trying to get out of the car with the device as fast as possible I fell in the driveway and rammed my head into my wife's vehicle. Still had the extinguisher in my hand (holding the trigger in the entire time) blasting it out into my driveway. Only Larry, Curly and Moe could do it better.

This is what we do in Canada on Friday nights. Why did I try to access the hatch from the backseat instead of opening it? An error perhaps? No. Because I am also the President of the local chapter of the Bugtussel Local of the International Brotherhood of Idiotic Home Mechanics. If I had a video camera I would have won the $100,000 prize of AFV.
Ouch.. Hope you're o-k

Too bad it wasn't caught on film, it would've been a hit on You-Tube. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
Man, the picture...err... movie of that in my head was absolutely Hi-Larious. You are well enough to type, so no concussion? <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
It's not what you do on friday night that makes Canadians different from "south" americans. It's admitting to it on sunday that makes you different.

Thanks for the humility involved in posting such a funny (and familiar) story.
Fortunately, the impact was on the hardest part of my body - my head.
Great post. Glad that many of us are still able to see humor in our own goofiness. My kids see it in me all the time. Thanks for sharing, that was a nice laugh.
Funny post Kim. Thanks for the laugh and glad you are OK.

Tom
Hope the wife car was OK...........just kidding
Kim, thanks for the amusing story and you should know that my Canadian friends ( yes, folks I do associate with quite a few whose origins are from The North <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ) would consider you an "honorary" Newfie now. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/tongue.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Sorry for the clean up you had to endure and for the bump on the head, but the public service benefit of the thread is of great value to many of us who are accident prone and who keep an extingusher in the back seat foot space. Chances are I may have stepped on that at some point also, but now, I'll be paying attention ! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/cool.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
