I am wondering about how to disengage the plastic push-pin clips at the top row of the plastic side panels. They consist of a white part mounted on the panel with a pin that pushes into the red grommet-like thing embedded into the body. I have this vague memory that flash once mentioned that there is some special tool to pop them out. The rear is not accessible since it appears to be inside the rocker. Pic is simply the red insert. I disengaged a couple on the 'broken' side (left) of the car since the red grommet had pulled out; it was tough to get the red grommet off the pin, but can be done with 2 screwdrivers, but of course that was on the workbench, not attached to the car. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Is this the door panel removal tool discussed?
Disassembly Tools
This special 5 pc. double ended tool kit (excluding one) was designed to aid the technician in disassembly of door panels, fascia / trim strips of dashboards, window installation, etc. Made from impact resistant nylon plastic, it won't scratch or mar parts like similar metal versions.

I found the link on Pelican Parts. It is about 1/3 of the way down on this page:

Harbor Freight carriers several different sets of plastic pry bars sets. I have one that worked quite well on my door clips when I last replaced the molding.

Are the door clips reusable?
Thanks,
Joe
Door panel: yeah, but they are 15 yr old pieces of dried nylon. You can probably find new ones that fits at local auto parts store.
Rocker cover clips: yeah, but same as above. I would at least replace the rubber bungs.
