On the advice of this site I bought a DME relay as a spare. Since it is not the same part number as the original, I was wondering what, if any, difference there is in it's performance.

Keith
No real performance difference, less prone to failure.

Jay
Yep, no better performance.

But it looks great a new spare dme with a 993 number!.

I always talk to these guys and tell the 933 guys That they have old cars with a new bodywork!.

Underside they have 968!!

I changed mine and it would not start. Any ideas? I put the old one back and it cranked right up.
Have never heard of that happening. Always plug and play.

Try plugging and pulling it a few times to clean the connnections?

Jay
i have heard of them being bad right out of the box though
