Not sure where to stuff this post, but I am hoping someone with a cab can take a picture of the switch area in front of the shifter in a cab. I am specifically looking to see what the cab top switch looks like (what the images look like).

TIA

Jim
this is where it goes

here is a shot of my switch area (it is not stock, but the top switch is still in there)

Thanks Bob.

I was curious because I thought the cab top switch had its own graphic. But now it is confirmed they used the same graphic (and probably switch?) as they used for the sunroof.

Jim
that's the way it was at least in my car - perhaps you were thinking of a bmw switch?
Nope- my new cab has the same roof switch as yours. I just sort of expected to see a different white graphic on the switch itself instead the sunroof graphic. I was just making sure the switch in the new cab was correct as I was confused. I had never really looked at the switch area in a cab so I wasn't sure what to expect.

Do you also have a pic of the dash / switch area to the LEFT of the steering wheel?

Thanks.

Jim
no worries - they used a lot of carryover parts from the hatchback model, as well as previous models - remember after all, every cab started out its life as a hatchback, and every one of these cars is an amalgamation of the predecessors

i don't seem to have a shot of the stock dash handy
No problem Bob. Just curious to know if there are any differences in that location between the cab and the coupe. I would think not, but then I am usually wrong.

Jim
per pages 55 and 59 of the owner's manual, it is in the same place in both models - farthest left position on the center console

i chose to put my foglights there so i can flip them on and off more easily than having to reach behind the steering wheel
Here is a stocker.

I'll be darned about the sun roof graphic. I never can figure out if I am putting the top up or down or what with that graphic.
Well. a small contribution. It isn't a cab, but it is the Tip.

Actually it is a poll:

- 1. the shifter broke, or

- 2. Searching for a little convenient cubby to park the 1/2 full Bud.

One more pic 1/2 disassembled? No worries, she'll get well soon. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/laugh.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

From what I can tell so far, time to lower the exhaust and see how the cable to the trans is doing.

Rest assured, from the looks of this our 968s are F-16 jet fighters. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />
