Can anyone tell me what these parts are? They are made from black plastic (probably ABS) about 1/8" thick and have a strip of black caulk down one side. They are embossed with PN 944.504.513.00. They were left over from one of my many repairs and mods, but I can figure out where they would go for the life of me.
I tried to cross the PN in the PET, but came up with nothing.
At this point I am very curious, and also hopeful that they are not required for an important function!
When I put this number into Pelican Parts search it came back with "BLOWER COVER INSERT". Does that help?
Ian
Did they go under the front bumper cover?
This looks like the piece that sits directly over the wiper motor - the sheet metal is cut back below the windshield to allow removal of the motor and wiper assembly from behind the blower box - this little piece spans over the wiper motor. The thin plastic blower cover that you see at the back of the engine bay is attached below the windscreen with double-sided tape (classy detail <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/wink.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> ) and this plastic bridges over the gap.
Two extras of these will last several lifetimes!
Finally... I have one left from the engine rebuild on the 944S2 and its been bugging me... also could not fine any reference to it..
thanks...

Thanks for the help everybody. The car is in for a detailing and compound work on the paint. When I get her back tomorrow, I will pop the hood and see where these little rascals go. I hope to post some pictures also when I get the car back as it is now finally ready to go!
