Saw this the other day while cruising the net.

Looks like someone with way too much time.
Finally, a way to get rid of those pop up headlights...LOL

Thanks, DUDE!

That looks like it has parts from more than just a Porsche and a Miata. For example, those fender vents...and don't I see some RX stuff? I'd agree - too much time (and too much money).
Hmmm... Interesting. If you had described this convesion to me, I would have said, "Yuck!", but looking at the picture, it's actually a decent execution. Yes, definitely someone with too much time on their hands...
Yes - I think the conversion is very well done. I just don't like the result.

Fender strakes look like they are off a Z3. Funny, I really like both of those cars. Melded together in that way though they look odd. Great Dane and a Poodle. Gradoodle right? So this thing would be a Porata, or a Miashce? Must be some anagramists out there...
Great names rxter
Ugh... <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/rolleyes.gif" class="smilie" alt="" />

Looks like there's a coffee-can sized tach on the dash[?].

Interesting none the less...
yes, but likely a lot closer to how the boxster should have been built - definitely closer to what a small porsche should weigh - any you can get 275 hp under there without much effort
Although I'm not a Ford guy, I have seen a few with a 302 stuffed in.
nice little engine - i've done quite a few conversions with that one - i think the buick 215 would be a good one too - done right, tire ripping torque in a car that small, and only weighs 302lbs complete (lighter than our engine)
