As my mum said to my dad when he was in his 40's and lusting over something a little more sporty given both kids had left - "if you don't do it now, in 10 years time - you wont be able to get in and out of the bloody thing".

Don't leave it too long. When you kids are around 4 - they fit in the back really well. When they hit around 9 - well, not so well.

Precisely why I'm about to buy a 968. I knew that there are cars that go along with stages of life. I had my Honda S2000 and my Lotus Exige prior to having kids. Now that my kids are 5 and 3, it's time to get another sports car. The back seats might be small, but they're big enough for little kids. I'm sure they'll enjoy the car nearly as much as I will.

I had the exact same thought process (minus the S2000 and Exige in my background - my former car was an RX7 twin turbo). Now my kids are 15 and 18, and the back seat is removed from my 918, which is being converted to a track car. I carted a lot of kids around back there, though...

Uh, see, each back seat is worth 25 "model designation" points, so now it's down from 968 to 918. Yeah, that's it...

I didn't realize the 918 *had* a back seat. Sadly, if it did, each one would be worth more than my car! <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/biggrin.png" class="smilie" alt="" />

Langley968, I wish I had enough money to convert my 968 to a track car but Wow! to convert your new 918 to a dedicated track car. I'm green with envy!LOL
