- Darryl- Both links work fine.....not sure why you'd need to select make and model - the link takes you to the correct item.
Yes, the link worked but when I put in 1994 968 it didnt return a part number.Good to know its the correct item on the link.
Carl968'- Volkswagon, Golf, Jetta roof mount antenna mast. It screws on perfectly and looks great for around $12."
Thanks Carl. Looks like with a little tinkering, quite a few of the more modern styles will fit.
I love my 968 for what it is & don't hate it for what it isn't!

In response to Flash: I assumed radio, but as you point out, it could very well have been something else. Being a 20-yr old car, it did live through the age of external antennas for cell phones. Being a cab, you can't mount anything on the roof.
I haven't followed the wire to see where it goes, if anywhere. In fact, I'm not sure if there is a wire connected to that mounting point. Maybe I'll just put an antenna there to improve my reception and re-use a previous body violation. Win-Win.

actually the easiest thing I've ever fixed LOL. Got part from dealer, not that expensive.
1992 Guards Red, Rare White Interior 6 speed, coupe. 130,000 miles. Garage Kept when not running. Anytime there is a problem, $1500 or less fixes it!!!

The only tricky part was holding the antenna stem firmly in place while my son drove the car in circles until it was all threaded. ;-) :-)
