Another New Guy from Cali
#1

Well, I didn't even know about this sight until flash advised me of it.  I was always on that other site, you know, the one with the big bird.  In all fairness, I'll still be on that site, too, but the more the merrier!

Always been a SBC guy (actually still am).  Recently sold my 81 SC to a guy in Belgium, then bought my '93 968 Cab.  Cosmetically gorgeous, but the PO flipped it and hid some stuff that I'm currently trying to figure out.  Wife loves the car, so that's a HUGE plus.  She didn't much care for the 911.  My learning curve on these cars is pretty steep, but I have the shop and the tools, so I know we can figure it out.  Another shameless plug, my wife is always there to help me work on it.  And her best saying is, 'If you need the part, just buy it'!

Trust me folks, I have questions, and as soon as the Admin approves me, I'll be asking.  60 YO and still inquisitive!

I live near Auburn Ca.

Welcome,

You are very lucky to have a supportive wife, my 968 only receives "standard preventative maintenance" Wink

Welcome !

Philippe , the " understanding / enabling / supportive wife " switches are all in your powers of persuasion. Some may need to supplement that power with bling, or other donations toward her interests. just to keep a harmonious balance.

Since I have a very understanding wife , but two 968s, shouldn't I add another one to the equation ? ( not another 968..)

Oh well, maybe if I move to Utah . :-)

Welcome from right over the hill here in Reno. Let me know if you need a mechanic, mine here is very good with 944 and 968 models.

Big fan of La Fornaretta too, and we still miss Constable Jack’s!
