An Older Brother for my 968
#1

After having an '86 951 several years ago, sold to buy a 964 and then the current 968, I've retained a hankering for that addictive Turbo thrust that 951 and 968 Turbo S owners enjoy. So - when a '90 951 came up for sale only 1800km (1100mile) away in Melbourne, Australia, I couldn't resist! With the engine rebuilt by Fitzgerald Racing a couple of years ago and presented in excellent condition, this car ticked all the boxes: LSD, MO30, 968 spoiler,93 Cup (93 Cup (Cup 2)) wheels, full history with all receipts, and most importantly, Azure Blue colour. My son and I flew to Melbourne, did the deal and drove back home over 2 days. No dramas, no tickets, no oil used and a great opportunity for father-son bonding. Highly recommended - that's our third car delivery trip in 18 months...

Cool 944. 1990 - Is this the Turbo-S with anti-lock brakes, airbags, racing suspension and so on? Regardless - looks nice.

Having both of these cars begs for comparison questions. Which is more fun? Drive every day? Which one stays if one has to go?

There are no RoW 951s fitted with airbags. And for RHD the airbag (yes, a single one) was only available for the '93 model year.

It's a Turbo, not a Turbo S. The latter was only available in '88.

Yes - I guess it is an addiction, but I can control it via bank balance...

What's the sense in keeping it stock when there's so much potential - but again, the bank balance controls this.
