ALMS Laguna-Seca
#1

I think this would be a good opportunity to get some of us together. I will definitely be at this race. The race is Saturday evening so I think I will just go all day saturday. I will also be posting on the other forums to get some more folks. I think this is the first race that Porsche will be back in the prototype class.

Waiting for Flash to get back from NY and work out / post the SoCal 968-ers plans

so we can meet up with them before the race for a few beers...

Josh,

A couple of unexpected things came up and it's not looking good for me... I'll know by tomorrow for sure, but as things stand I'm at less than 10% probability of making it now..

My wife needs to go in to work on Saturday and possibly Sunday as well ( a 3 or 4 times a year occurrence , and with my luck this one fell on ALMS weekend *@#! )

Planning to go to the NorCal-SoCal 968 meet in Paso Robles the following Saturday , so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that one does not get screwed up as well !

So how did the new Porsche do ?!

( A couple of weeks ago the reports were that they fixed the glitch and they would enter the car in this race.. )

Update: RPM on .net posted that Porsche won their class.

I tried to find the race delay broadcast on the speed channel, but had no luck.

The RS Spyder ran real strong. Pushed the Audi R8s in LMP1 for much of the race.

What a great time. I have about 40min of video and 100+ pictures to sort through this week. I'll try to have some posted in the next couple of days. That RS Spyder is a machine...
