A quick Intro Hello
#1

Hello,

Fellow 18yr owner of numerous, mostly air-cooled 911's. I work on and maintain my current two 911's--90' 964 C4, and a 09' C4S. Both manuals. I live out in Bellingham, WA. I'm a fairly competent mechanic and enjoy learning while I restore or maintain my cars. My interest in getting a 968 has always been there, and I feel it is time to start looking. I'm slowly learning about the different years, features and areas to look for. I am hoping to find a coupe, good mechanical history and preferably a color other than red, white and black. Manual transmission. My first step was to join an enthusiast group like this one, and hopefully meet some similar minded people interested in this really cool car! Cheers  Smile

Welcome - those colors (that you don't want) happen to be the most common colors on a 968, but other cool colors (including several varieties of blue) pop up from time to time.    It's a fun car to drive, and the fact you can do your own work is a big plus for ownership costs (as I'm sure you've found with your previous Porsches).     Definitely plenty of knowledge on this site and from it's members to absorb, and look forward to you joining the 968 ranks!   :-)
