Vedder, I'm in process of doing this. I've got as far as buying parts, which I worked out from PET and purchased from Porsche (prices are Australian dollars A$1 = US 0.75 cents). The parts I have purchased are:-

1) a replacement mounting bracket for the alternator [944.603.134.02 - A$250]

2) a different drive belt (shorter with different ribbing pattern) [999.192.290.50 - A$29]

3) a replacement pulley wheel in the alternator (because the belt is different) [944.603.021.01 - A$186]

A bit expensive I know. Now someone will tell me there's a cheaper way !

Not sure how soon I'll be doing this (need to keep car on road for upcoming events] but I could let you know how it goes.

Vedder,

I think this should be easy since you are in the UK. AC was an option on Club Sports. So if you can find a CS being parted out or a CS owner who wants to swap parts you are set.

Although Colin, Ninemeister can help you exchange that AC for forced induction.

We deleted the H/V/AC system from my 95 coupe.

A/C delete bracket can also be gotten from Paragon, I think. New belt and pulley...Don't forget to remove your heater core and fan. Then you can also remove that pesky heater control valve, too!
