Holy brakepads and rotors, Batman !
#1

After 23,000 miles on the new rotors and brakepads ( front and rear replaced at the same time by P.O. before selling me the car ) I have more than 80% of the pads left, and the rotors look brand new and feel as smooth as butter, without the slightest sign of a rim edge/ groove. WTF ?! Ok, rotors I understand, but less than 20% wear on pads after 23 K miles...and the way I friggin' drive that car ?!

A good day at the track will consume those front pads...

Street wear is VERY low in these cars. Porsche packed a LOT of brake into the design, so don't be surprised that they wear slowly on the street.

I just pitched all 4 of my rotors and am installing new pads too. 60,000 miles and Pads could have gone at LEAST 20,000 more. Rotors had a 1/16th lip near the edge and did not need to be replaced, I went with drilled Zimmermans. (just like the look, I know they don't really do much to help cool)

Powder coated my 1st caliper dark electric blue, came out great. Rebuild it and install, then do the other one. <img src="/forum/images/smilies/968/smile.gif" class="smilie" alt="" /> Looks sharp, lotta work thou. Will post pics when completed.
