968's at Grattan
#1

The 968's had 1 first, 2 2nds, and 1 4th this last weekend at Grattan with NASA. Jim Child was 1 & 2 and I was 2 and 4 saturday and Sunday respectably. While Grattan is kind-of hard on the car it is an absolute blast to drive.

I do not have video but I think Jim Child will have video. I put the camera in the car on Sunday but strapped in before I turned it on and didn't want to unstrap!!!

Grattan is like a big go-kart track. It has a 120mph front straight, t1 is fast t2 and t3 are off camber between 4/5 there is a "jump" where the car goes very light or maybe 2 wheels off the ground and then you brake!!!There are then esses and a on camber hard left with tons of banking. You dive in and stay on the throttle. The track is hard on the car, driver and the tires. That being said it is very strange but a lot of fun. It's a 6 hour tow for me and that meant a late Sunday night getting back! I will probably go back next year if my friends go!!

I haven't uploaded any of my video yet, but here's some video from the car of the guy I was battling with on Sunday.

As you watch the video, you might notice some unusual looking lines in a couple of the corners. Grattan has a LOT of bumps and in several places I deviate from a normal line to avoid them.

It looks like the elevation changes make the track fun. It is small, but I bet the car is pretty well suited for it. I like the new wing too.
