They have also added my coupe registry. I have 500+ coupes now registered. Look for it

under the "Related info" tab. See if you are on the list!!! If not, please send me your data

to G968@comcast.net Info required:

VIN#, exterior color, interior color, transmission type, and most importantly, your option codes.

I will be sending an updated file every couple months to Ron for the web.

Thanks,

Graham.

As you can tell from my late post on this thread, I have been locked up working on the 968 Celebration in Hershey. Ron Salvador, the new Webmaster, actually did a lot of work designing the website to provide new content for 968 owners. Jeff Coe, the new Co Advocate chipped in and came up with a great idea; Featured Owner and Shamus McBridge was the first owner featured. Jeff provided his 968 Cabriolet Registry and Graham Rippel provided his 968 Coupe Registry! We dipped into my 968 Library and, God willing, Ron over the next few years will post 968 articles that have appeared since 1991.

All in all, we are trying to develop a website primarily for the 200 PCA 968 Register members (still growing, will we ever beat the 356 Register?) but the site is available to all 968 owners. If you are a 968 owner and one of the 57,000 PCA members, join the PCA 968 Register by simply filling out the application on the website or send me an email dhassenbein@comcast.net and I will shoot out an application to you.

As the new 968 Register Advocate, I will continue to try to provide opportunities for 968 owners to get together, especially at PCA events, since we can turn so many heads of other Porsche owners. We have a unique and rare car and we should show it off!

Look forward to meeting many of you at the upcoming 968 Celebration and also seeing many of the 120 owners who attended the 2001 - 2004 Celebrations in Hershey.

Don Hassenbein

From the 356 Register website...

Quote:Total production run: more than 78,000. About 1/2 of the entire production are believed to exist today.

With 39,000 still on the road , that would make the 356 "Common" compared to our newer, but rarer, beauties...

Regards,

Jay

FYI, I ordered some shirts from CafePress with our 968 Register logo. Thanks, Bob Blackwell, for setting this up for us! Some feedback:

The website ordering was easy, the order came quickly, and the customer service response and follow up on some issues was excellent.

The women's 2-color raglan hoodie & cap sleeve t-shirt, women's tank top, and the jr. raglan shirt are ok, but the logos on some are really tiny and hard to read. The tank top and cap sleeve shirts come with a nice cutaway image of a blue 968 on the back. Would be nice if the back image were a buyer option on all shirts, some may want it and some may not. However, the other ladies t-shirts weren't very high quality, are a really lightweight fabric, and are cut like men's t-shirts with high necks and longer sleeves. They kindly offered a refund on the the shirts whose quality was less than expectations.

The logos are two different sizes (pre-set, not buyer options)...the larger one is ok, but the smaller one is really tiny, very hard to read. And in some cases, the logo is not in the best location on the shirt, placed too high or too low or too close to the center of the shirt.

Bob, maybe you can change all the logo sizes to the larger size (for men's and women's items), and see if we can change logo placements a bit. I'd be happy to help if you have questions. Just want to ensure that others are happy with them. Thanks again!
