944 Fuchs
#1

I have always liked the Fuchs wheels-- still looks good on the new 911 Speedster, and made the 944 look really bad ass. Has anyone ever installed a set of Fuchs on a 968? I have never seen a picture of this combo. I think it would look pretty good on a black or red coupe.

Offset is wrong and most are 15's. So you would need to find something custom. Personally it would look a little dated on the 968 to me.

We SC boys agree - really killer on a 944 - 968?...not so much. But that's just my opinion and the reason cars are all different shapes and colors. What appeals to one does not appeal to another but I think bandit is correct on offset issues.

Yeah, sorry to pile on, but Fuchs on a 968 just wouldn't be right. I've seen phone dials on the 968 and it makes it look really dated...more like...uh, how do I say this....a 944!! My Coupe had 16" Design 90s on it and I couldn't wait to get those off.

The new Fuchs are updated and indeed look great on the new Speedster and 911 Sport Classic. They're also 19" and thinner "flower petals". I've got the original 16" Fuchs on my '82 911SC and being period correct, they look great. There were two different offsets available...one for the 944 and one for the 911.

ugh - i thought they were all wrong on the new speedster - between the hideous miata blue and those, i thought they took 3 steps backwards on the car - retro can be fine, but at $140k for the car, that seemed a bit silly

It is certainly a matter of personal taste, and with the 911 Speedster--- a car that I know I will never own, and probably never see in person--- doesnt stop me from really liking the way these wheels look on a new car--- Im glad the old school Fuchs are still in the mix. I have always felt that a lot of the wheels out there today do not look good on the 968 (I'm not a fan of any kind of BBS wheel, chrome, etc).

I also know that if I tried to somehow find a set of these 19" Speedster specials, they would probably cost more than my 968! So I guess I am stuck with my 993 Cup wheels, which visually fit the 968 perfectly in my opinion.

140K? If you can afford the car, there's a good possibility that you can afford another set of wheels!

I personally like upgrading the look of my car. If you like period correct that's great. I'm trying to bring my car out of the '90s.
