Today I have tried my 968CS with new brakes - what a nice difference!

I put on 928 GTS calipers with 322/32 mm discs, pads from Trickstuff in the front and rear.

Since I don't have the M030 option, I had to fit adapters from FVD. Hope they won't brake...

It's a very good conversion and the difference to the original CS brakes is a huge one.

Good job Federico! I replaced my stock brakes with the 1987 928S4 brakes and am very impressed with them, so those GTS brakes must be really something. Welcome to the 968 Forum, wish we could get the Club sport 968 over here! Good luck, Bob Blackwell.

Hey Bob, did you use an adapter kit as well? I assume your car is not original M030.

Mirror, no my 968 is not an original M030 car. Yes, I bought my adapters for the brakes from Paragon Products. My receipt shows that they cost $150 for the pair last year and there are some available on the PCA.org site for $120 a pair. They look exactly the same as the ones I bought. Love the added brake capacity but found out that they are not any help on the short events that I run. Our events are usually less than two minutes per run with a wait of about six minutes between runs so the brakes have plenty of time to cool off and never really get too hot in the first place. What sort of events are you running? We have similar ones where it's a 3-6 lap dash against the clock but you can be passed or pass someone with clear signalling. On my 951 I had the Mo30 with S4 brakes with the 968 underbody air deflectors, s/s braideds, $$ fluid, + excellent PFC pads but I was still getting them a bit mushy from time to time. I am now fitting the Big Reds on the front and have replaced the the master cylinder with the hopes that 'Mushy' will be banished from my vocabulary for good!
