911 Targa Announced at Detroit Auto Show
#1

Talk about retro! And a nice, big window hatch to heat up the interior, like in our cars.

The top is so complex though. It must add a bunch of weight. Why can't it just be like the old one and be manually removed and stowed? No....lets make it so you don't have to do anything but press a button and add a thousand dollars and a hundred pounds to the car.

I like the looks though, don't get me wrong.

Lol, no kidding ! Not sure what fraction of the replacement cost for any given part the factory typically charges on the sticker price, but as a frame of reference the canvas piece on many new cabs ( BMW, Porsche, Jaguar ) generally goes between $ 7,000 to $ 9,000 ...and that's without the mechanism, just the " rag " ! So guessing that contraption on the Targa is at least $ 20 k, if you need a new one to replace your old damaged one...which will happen the week after your warranty expires. :-) :-)
